What this plugin does
NPC Traffic System creates background characters that spawn on configured start Region IDs, travel toward destination Region IDs, and despawn after reaching their destination.
The system uses RPG Maker's native pathfinding and does not require hand-authored movement routes or path regions. Traffic NPCs avoid the player, prevent sprite overlap, and clean themselves up when they arrive or become stuck.
Each map can define its own active NPC limit, spawn interval, initial traffic count, runtime event ID range, and optional debug logging, allowing a quiet village and a busy city to use different traffic levels.
Features
- Spawn traffic NPCs on start Region IDs and send them toward destination Region IDs.
- Use native pathfinding without manual movement routes or path regions.
- Prevent player collisions and overlapping traffic sprites, then despawn NPCs automatically.
- Set per-map traffic limits, spawn timing, initial counts, event ID ranges, and debug logging.
Before you buy
- Custom movement and pathfinding plugins may modify the same engine behavior; test compatibility before buying for an established plugin stack.
Good fit for
- Living towns
- Busy roads and markets
- Maps that need ambient character movement
